Principles and Practices work together. Principles focus on knowing the ‘why’ of your work. Then, Practices focus on knowing and improving the ‘how’s’ of your work. You can think of Practices as VUCAN hacks and tools of work.
Machines can do a lot of our rote work. But, our individual creativity and competencies are what differentiates and sets us apart from machines. VUCAN creatives may be artists, writers, website builders, drummers, coders, producers, recording engineers, actors, podcasters, and any type of VUCAN worker.
As COVID work disruption increases, a critical Practice for all VUCANs is risk management. Another theme running through this book is each of us will evolve into a risk manager.
