We have many more sources of information. This is a mixed blessing because there is much more stuff to separate, distill, and use. Information is expanding much faster than our ability to adapt to it. Work is no longer about discrete transitions and transactions. It’s about continuous transitioning.
Do you ask your kids for tech support? Our kids treat the Internet as an extension of themselves just as we do with phones or airplanes. Our kids are often more computer literate than we are. But, can they use the information in work or live in smarter ways? That’s the key issue.
