Lifelong learning has become a reality for all Brand U’s. A recent study at Washington State University concluded that regardless of age, income, race, and ethnicity, the great majority of us want to continue our education and training throughout our lives. Eighty-one percent of the Brand U’s believed that additional training is critical for their work success.
Why are the results so startling? Regardless of the age group, income levels and backgrounds, more Brand U’s accept that standing still in a moving knowledge stream means going backwards. There’s widespread understanding that competition requires organizational innovation and individual flexibility. Individual competence and even individual competitiveness means training is not a one-shot effort, Brand U’s will be learning and adding value throughout our lives.
