Poor Brainpower Management

David H. Smith, head of knowledge development at Unilever, offers the following symptoms of poor brainpower management:

  1. You repeat problems
  2. Work gets duplicated
  3. Customer relations are strained
  4. Good ideas don’t get shared
  5. You have to compete on price
  6. You can’t keep up with market leaders
  7. You’re dependent on key individuals
  8. You’re slow to launch new products
  9. You don’t know how to price for service[i]
