Those who ‘get it’ also understand the race to stake out Web ‘real estate’ to create dynamic Brand U’s web sites. As a result, many Brand U’s who ‘got it’ have become fabulously wealthy.

These changes also have created two different groups of managers: those who ‘get it’ and those who don’t. Those who ‘get it’ have learned to nurture, support, and work with Brand U’s. Those that don’t ‘get it’ still insist on centralized power, perks, and privilege. The lines of work will be largely drawn between these two types of managers. Those who ‘get it’ retain the best and brightest workers. Those who don’t have serious employee migration problems.
